My Great-Great Grandfather, James Andrew Jackson was born in Texas and was an extra in the movie "Arizona". The local paper did a story on him and he told of some family stories but not very many names. First story is about his Great-Great Grandmother who was taken prisoner by the Indians when she was 14 years old. The Indians had stormed Fort Louisville in Kentucky, which was under the command of a General Morgan. Later she was scalped and left for dead. She was found and lived until she was 89 years old and had nine childern. Do you have any information on Fort Louisville or this General Morgan? Also he states in this article that he was a fourth cousin to Hickory Jackson. Then he mentions a Great, Great, Great, Grandfather, Lieut. McCraft that served under George Washington during the Revolutionary War. James was born June 10, 1869 and died Aug 28,1944. Thanks for any help. |
