I am searching for information on Angus McLeod and Mary McCuaig, Isle of Islay, SCOT. Mary was born January 17, 1838, on I believe the Isle of Islay, Scot., and she and Angus came to Canada in 1864. They settled in Cheltenham, ONT from 1864 to approx. 1878, then moved to Gamebridge, ONT approximately 1879, and the family lived there until 1904. Angus was killed in a logging accident somewhere between 1878 and 1881, and Mary was left to raise Martha, Elizabeth, Peter, Duncan, Mary Ann, Margaret and Jennette. Peter never returned from the Yukon Gold Rush/1890s. Duncan lived in Cobalt from 1904 to 1926. Elizabeth married Henry G. McDonald in 1892, and settled in Merrill, WIS. Children were Mary E., Henry E., Beatrice I. and Elizabeth.
Names in my family tree are McLeod; McCuaig; Sanderson; McDonald; Graves; Smith; Snell; Townsend; Vine; Heron; and Waite.
