* Bill and Susan Herring Of Homer, Louisiana*

Updated September 5, 2000

I am researching over one hundred different ancestral lines. Several seem to have led to dead ends, such as John Johnson Butler who was born abt. 1816 in North Carolina and wife Sarah Rebecca Webb who was born 1818 in Georgia. I have a picture of my husband's gg-grandfather Samuel Wallace, but know nothing except that his daughter Eveline married Robert Thomas Peterson.

Most of both mine and my husband's ancestors came from Virginia, the Carolinas and Georgia, while others settled in Illinois, Kentucky, and Missouri before moving to Louisiana.

I would love to exchange information on any of the following lines: Tabor, Herring, Peterson, Weaver, Thomas, Hutto, Larance, Holleman, Prince, Brooks, Price, Wallace, Butler, Johnson, Webster, Webb, Tucker, Frazier, Hill, Colvin, Alexander, Edmonds, Hay, Sims, Tubbs, Meadors, Harris, Pope, Weir, Feaster, Key, Williamson, Hollingsworth, Hicks, Stephens, Rosser, Brasell, Easterling, Hilliard, Calk, Womack, Jones, as well as a number of others.
