Edit Your Page

Family histories are quite interesting yet can be difficult to collect. I am currently searching for defining information for both my ancestors and my husband's ancestors. Sometimes you hit a wall, other times doors are standing wide open. I hope this page is a help to those of you looking for family members of your trees that also happen to be in mine. If you find any errors or corrections, please email me. I am open to new information as well. If you know something I don't about these families, please let me know. All information is appreciated.

Family Photos

  • Mockbee Family (128 KB)
This is a picture of Hazel Mockbee and her brother Lewis Mockbee. I assume the other boy standing in the picture is one of their brothers and that the two people sitting are their parents, Lotti and James Mockbee. My mother said Lewis was dropped on his head as an infant (thrown up in the air and not caught)which broke his neck. That is why his head is crooked in the picture. He was deformed for life because of it.
  • Lewis Wolfe Homestead (58 KB)
This is a picture of the Lewis Wolfe homestead. It was taken in 1980.
  • Lewis and Pearle Mockbee (29 KB)
This is a picture of Lewis and Pearle Mockbee. Pearle is the daughter of Robert Wolfe and Isabel Larkin.
  • Beulah and Chester Wolfe (48 KB)
This is a picture of Beulah and Chester Wolfe. Beulah was about 5 when this picture was taken. It is the only picture in existence of Chester Wolfe (that I am aware of) since he died as an infant.
  • Wolfe, Ecklar, Clifford (118 KB)
L to R (standing) C.L. Clifford, Grace Clifford, Gusty Wolfe. L to R (sitting) Arch Ecklar, Nancy (Ecklar) Wolfe, Sallie (Beagle) Ecklar.
  • Old Ecklar, Beagle pictures (219 KB)
I can't identify all the people in these pictures. They were glued down in an old photo album that belonged to my grandma (Nancy Ecklar Wolfe Dickman). If you recognize any faces, please let me know.
  • Kay Francis Wolfe, daughter of Gus and Nancy Wolfe (119 KB)
This is a picture of my mom as a baby.
  • Young Samuel Ecklar and unknown woman (34 KB)
This is a picture of a young Samuel Ecklar. Not sure of the year. I am also not positive who the young woman in the picture is. I don't believe it is Sallie Beagle--it just doesn't look like her. Could be a sister of Samuel's. If you recognize her, please let me know.
  • Gus Wolfe (134 KB)
This was drawn by my mother, Kay Wolfe Terrell, off of a picture of her grandfather, Gus Wolfe. I don't know where the original photograph is today. The color of his eyes were blue (just like mom's). Over time, something has eaten away at the color on the drawing. He looks remarkably like his son Gusty Wolfe.
  • James M. Mockbee (122 KB)
Photo of James M. Mockbee, father of Hazel Mockbee. Photocopy from Mockbee Family book, sent to me by Cheri Daniels.
  • Gus Wolfe and Hazel Mockbee (101 KB)
Gus Wolfe (my great grandfather) and Hazel Mockbee(my great grandmother). Ignore the words written on the photograph of Hazel. Either the date or her age is wrong because they don't correspond correctly. However, the date is probably the correct one because she looks much older than 18 in that picture.
