| Always seeking additional information on any of the above families. The Herder family line came from southern Germany in about 1850. Settled in New York City, then Connecticut, then homesteaded in Woodson County Kansas. The Van Hoozer family line came from NE Holland in about 1610. Over the years moved from New York State to Virginia to North Carolina to Tennessee to Northwest Missouri to Southeast Kansas. The O'Dell family came from England in early 1800's. Have had very little success with this line, perhaps due to death of both parents and child being raised by friends. The Hendrix family came from Scotland. From Iowa moved to homestead in Kansas then moved to Missouri. Have traced to Iowa from Illinois. |
