Hon. Uri Tracy (son of Daniel Tracy and Mary Johnson) was born February 08, 1774 in Norwich Franklin County CN, and died August 01, 1838 in Oxford Chenango County New York. He married Ruth Hovey, daughter of Gen Benjamin Hovey and Lydia Haven.

General Notes: Uri Tracy relocated from Connecticut about 1792 to Oxford, Chenango Co, NY. Uri was a Presbyterian clergyman and missionary to the Indians. From 1798 to
1801, he performed the duties of Sheriff of
Chenango Co. After 1801, he served as the County Clerk. From 1805 to 1813, except for two years in 1808/9, he served as a Representative in Congress. He was appointed Judge after 1819.
