I am researching the descendants of Samuel Jordan who was born about 1580 in Lyme Regis, Dorset, England and died in March of 1623 in Jordan's Journey, James Towne, Charles City County, Virginia. I have extensive information on the family and will share or exchange the information with you. I am researching my Hibbs ancestors about whom I have little information. My father, Max Lee Hibbs was born August 28, 1913 in Dayton, Rhea County, Tennessee as the only child of George Henry Hibbs and Mary Umbarger. George Henry Hibbs was born in Dayton, Tennessee in 1886 and died in Dayton, Tennessee in 1921. Mary Umbarger Hibbs was born about 1890 and died in 1914 in Dayton, Rhea County,Tennessee. George Henry Hibbs' parents were Mary Eleanor Payne and George Washington Hibbs. George Washington Hibbs was born in Ross Landing, Dade County, Georgia in 1855, married Mary in Dade County, Georgia in 1879 and died in Dayton, Rhea County, Tennessee on November 21, 1936. Any information on the Hibbs and Jordan families would be appreciated. |
