My Grandfather, Frank Hickey, was Guard on the first Train, Maryborough - Pialba in December, 1896 and first Resident Guard in Pialba. He also was Guard on the inaugural trip Pialba - Urangan when the line was extended in December, 1913. This was prior to the Urangan Jetty which opened in 1917.
