Winston Currie HICKS (son of George Milton HICKS and Sarah Arellia HUDGIN) was born 20 Dec 1910 in Sophisburg, Prince Edward, ON, Canada, and died 24 Oct 1985 in Glenora, Prince Edward, Ontario, Canada. He married Dorothy Maud WRIGHT on 29 Aug 1933 in Picton, Prince Edward, Ontario, Canada.
Notes for Winston Currie HICKS: Winston Currie Hicks, like his father, served as President of the Ontario Funeral Association and also as President of the County Hospital Board. He sold his funeral business to Mr. Russell Brown but maintained his Furniture business another ten years, selling to Mr. Donald Andrews. He was also a Director of the Waupoos Canning Factory, a Chartered Member and Past President of the Rotary Club of Picton where he obtained a 'Paul Harris', level. Winston loved the fellowship of members of his hunting camp and did not missed a deer hunt in more than thirty years.
He built by himself a wooden open 18 ft run about which he named it the "Dorel" from the letters of his wife and daughter. He loved to fish and spent many hours enjoying this adventure where he lived on the Bay of Quinte approximately one mile west of the Glenora Ferry.
