| Hi there, welcome to my webpage. My family includes MILLIGAN/Millikan surname . This family line comes all the way back to North Carolina and Pennsylvania. Back to William Millikan and Jane White .This family was Quakers. But my family line did NOT study this religion. Joseph BUZZARD was from Kentucky. He married Jane Jenkins who was born 1808 in Kentucky. Jane's father was believed to have slaves (That is how the story is told). CLOUGHERTY/CLOHERTY is also another name This is my husbands line. The farthest I got back is Mark Clogherty and Mary Mulkern both from Ireland. The first ancestor from Ireland that came to the U.S. was their son Patrick who married Barbara Norton. DRAKE is another surname. The oldest ancestor is Jesse Drake who died in November 1840 in Dearborn co. Indiana he was married to Jane. CLOUD -the oldest ancestor is Robert Cloud born about 1529 in Calne, England.Died May 13, 1574 In Calne, England. His wife was Isabel Bred Collins. HOLDRON/Holden-Dennis Holden born about 1776 in New Jersey. He married Mariah ANDRESS/anders . KNOX-William Knox born 1800 in Kentucky married Margaret White and had 6 kids that I know of in Rush co. Indiana. The Hicks/Hix came from North Carolina and moved to Tennessee than to Kentucky. From Kentucky they settled In Clay co. Kentucky, than some moved to Laurel co. Kentucky. And others moved to Ohio than East . Some stayed in Indiana others went to Illinois. The oldest ancestor was born in late 1700s and is Allen Hix and Martha Patsy Hicks Cottrell Hollingsworth. Martha married twice after Allen passed. The White family came from Pulaski Co. Kentucky . They went from Pulaski to Harrison and They moved to to Rush co. Indiana in 1904. I am also looking for the DUTY family from Fayette co. kentucky. The Buttery/Buttrey/Buttry family came from Wilkes Co. North Carolina.. The oldest is Timothy Buttry who married Mary Thompson abt. 1795. This is some of my names and familys' I am still updating my family history.
