115. SAMUEL⁵ HICKOX (BETHEL⁴ HICKOK, BENJAMIN³ HICKOCK, SAMUEL², WILLIAM¹) was born May 1752, and died March 12, 1824 in Lansingburg, Ny. He married ZILPHA SCOFIELD.

116. EBENEZER⁵ HICKOK (BETHEL⁴, BENJAMIN³ HICKOCK, SAMUEL², WILLIAM¹) was born February 1759 in Stamford, Conn., and died February 1843 in Amherest county, Virginia. He married JANE LINN April 14, 1784 in Amherest county, Virginia.

Notes for EBENEZER HICKOK:
Ebenezer Hickok, son of Bethel and Sarah Morehouse Hickok, Was born February 1759 at Stamford, Ct. He settled in Amherest County, Virginia in November,1782 and there married Jane Linn, a Widow, April 14,1784. She was born in 1760, died May 14, 1838. Her obituary was in the Linchburg, Va. newspaper. Ebenezer served 216 days in the Revolution in 1776 and recived a pension for revolutionary War service, starting May 1833 and is listed in the 1840 roll of pensioneers. He is also listed in the 1840 census of Amherst County. There are several property transfers and a will at the Amherest County Courthouse. A 100 acre track that he boutht Sept 20, 1821 on the Piney river near the convergence of the Piney and tye rivers. We believe that Jane was burried in a Cemetary across the old stage road from this property. Ebenezer is burried at the Presbyterian Church in Fincastle, Va. beside his son Morris Hickok. He went to live with Morris after Jane died in 1838.
