Daniel J. Higgins (son of Robert T. Higgins and Hester Ann Andrews) was born August 27, 1843 in St. Michaels, Md., and died September 03, 1897 in St. Michaels, Md.. He married Henrietta Goldsborough Frampton on January 23, 1868 in St. Michaels, Md., daughter of Nicholas Frampton and Nancy Benson.

The 1880 census of St. Michaels shows a Daniel J. Higgins aged 37 married to a Henrietta G. aged 32.
Living with them at the time was a brother Robert T. Higgins aged 25. The children of Daniel and Henrietta were as follows:
