| We are researching our roots and trying to connect our families histories. We are currently working with thhe surnames, Hillmantel, Jenks, Van Horn, Gerhardt, Hermann and Wilwert. The Hillmantel Family had its origins in Czechoslovakia and moved to Northwestern Germany to the Duisburg area in the middle 1800's. The Gerhardts all came from Hungary between Timosoar and Arad.They moved to the United States between 1860 and 1900. The Jenks Family came from England beginning with William Jenks(Gynkes), whose decendants left their mark in Industry and Manufacturing. They settled in the New England area. We would appreciate any information we might get to add to our records and will be happy to assist anyone with these names in their families wherever we might. |
