The following information was found in the book entitled "Heritage Of Lumpkin County, Georgia 1832-1996", Article#607 was submitted by Albert Souther;
Shortly after his first wife "Rebecca" died, James remarried to Melvina Kelley. The family moved to Taos, New Mexico in early 1900's for James to work in the mines. In 1908 they moved back to Georgia and in 1909 they bought a farm in Shoal Creek District of Lumpkin County.
