Three of Henry's children were apparently born out-of-wedlock. Researcher and cousin Cassandra Faulkner shows a first child named Bethany (unknown mother) born in 1844 and married in her father's home on Jan 7, 1861, to Colbert Ratliff (born 1844, Pike Co). Nothing more is known about Bethany/Bethana although county records show that Colbert was married several more times.
