This site is dedicated to Robert Riddick Hill (1810-1863) of Gates County, NC, his descendents, and his ancestors. Our goal is to more completely develop Robert's family tree.

Robert Riddick Hill was the son of Robert Hill (died before 1845). The senior Robert Hill was the son of Kedar Hill (died about 1789), who was the son of Guy Hill (died about 1788). These ancestors lived in Gates County, NC. Our challenge now is to verify the ancestry of Guy Hill. As you'll see from this site, we've made some progres.

Our family has lived in or near Gates County for at least 275 years. Our heritage must be preserved.

We thank the person who started us on this journey, Alfred Lee Hill, my first cousin once removed. Alfred provided much of the original research for our family.

There are connections with many other families including Parker, Sawyer, Twiddy, Harrell, and Brewer. The Brewer connections, in particular, have grown substantially recently.

If you can help us with any of these family connections, please send an e-mail.
