Notes for JOHN LEWIS MOODY: John Lewis Moody, 74, died Thursday, July 20, 1995, at his home (Bothell, Washington). A native of Haywood County, he was the son of Mrytle Mehaffey Moody and the late Clifton Moody. He was former owner and operator of Moody's Automotive in Bellevue, Wash. He was preceded in death by his brothers, James and Bill Moody, in 1994. Surviving, in addition to the mother, Mrytle Moody of Waynesville, are his wife, Patircia O'Toole Moody; two sons, David and Brian Moody of Washington; one daughter, Sally Moody of Washington; two sisters, Alva Jo Carver of Maggie Valley and Wanda Sutton of Waynesville. Funeral services were held Monday in Bothell. Burial was in Old Pioneer Cemetery. A memorial service was held at 7:30 PM Tuesday at Waynesville Christian Fellowship. Clayton Davis gave the message. |

Notes for KENNETH JACK DILLARD: Kenneth Jack Dillard, 69, of 536 Oakdale Road, Waynesville, died Wednesday, Aug 14, at his residence. A native of Haywood County, he was the son of the late William E and Wilsie Mehaffey Dillard. He was self employed as a rock mason and a service station owner. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth Phillips Dillard, who died in November 1983. Surviving are his wife, Dale Mease Baker; three daughters, Brenda Meyer of Tampa, Fla, Kendra Dillard of St Paul, Minn, and Teresa Dillard of Waynesville; one son, Kenny Dillard Jr of Waynesville; four step children, Karen Prusia and Tammy Warlick, both of Waynesville, Kurt Reinert of Las Vegas, Nev, and Skip Reinert of Milwaukee, Wis; three sisters, Mary D Swanger of Chattanooga, TN, Johnnie Sue Caldwell of Clyde and Jo Ellen Dillard of Waynesville; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; and 10 step grandchildren. Services will be held at 7 pm Friday in the Chapel of Wells Funeral Home, Waynesville. Committal service will be held at 11 AM Saturday at Greenhill Cemetery. The Rev Philip Wyatt will officiate. Pallbearers will be Mark Warlick, Jerome Buchanan, Kurt and Skip Reinert, Steve Childers and Stacey Howell. The family will receive friends immediately following the service Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Holy Grove Freewill Baptist Church, 1209 Allens Creek Rd, Waynesville, NC 28786. |
