2-25-2002 Marguerite Crist Calvin (cristcalvin @ohiohills.com) wrote that she was researching Wilhelm Heim who arrived on the Ship "Thistle of Glasgow in 1730" with Philip Groscost and wife, Anna Margaretha Heim, probably sister to Wilhelm. Paul Heim was in Ireland with the 1709 group, he returned to Germany 1711, came to America 1727. All were from Mutterstadt, Germany (SW -Mannheim)
(see 4-10-2002 notes below which states the same thing about Paul being in Ireland)

NOTE: 4-2002 THIS HAS TO BE AN EARLIER HANS PAULUS HIMES AS THE BROTHER OF WILHELM HEIM BORN ABT 1710, ALSO NAMED HANS PAULUS HIMES WAS BORN 10-7-1712.
3-3-02 Marguerite Crist Calvin (cristcalvin @ohiohills.com) sent another email with information that Wilhelm Heim was born May 10, 1715 (As of 4-10-2002, Stewart Hinds who can read German translated the ships list mainly in German, and this date is not the birthdate of Wilhelm Heim but it is the birthdate of Wilhelm Heim's nephew Wilhelm Groscost who was born May 10, 1715 -SEE BELOW) The page will be put with Wilhelm Heim's family page. There was more information but mostly in German which Dottie could not decipher so I have sent an email back to Marguerite Crist Calvin to see if she can translate it)
It also listed a Charles A. Groscost, and Kinder, zu Mutterstadt, geboren: may mean kin born in Mutterstadt. (Charles A. Groscost and children were born in Mutterstadt, and Charles is most likely (NOT POSITIVE) the father of Philip Groscost)
Children of Philip Groscost and Anna Margaretha Heim:
1) Wilhelm Groscost b. 10-5-1715 (May 10, 1715) Paten Wilhelm Heim, ledig(unmarried) und Anna Margareta Reisinger, ledig(unmarried). (The sponsors Wilhelm Heim and Anna Margaretha Reisinger are probably the parents of Anna Margaretha Heim who m. Phlip Groscost. We already knew that Wilhelm Heim b. abt 1650 had a daughter named Anna Margaretha Heim)
2) Christoph Groscost (Christopher) b 15-2-1717 (Feb 15, 1717) Mutterstadt 15-2-1735 mit Johanna Steiger T. D. Schultheissen zu Mutterstadt Johann Theobald Steiger. Bei Der Vater Burger in Pennsylvanien ist.
(Christopher Groscost m. Johnanna Steiger, dau of Johann Theobald Steiger and T.D. Schultheissen may be the Minister)
3) Anna Elizabeth Groscost 19-3-1719 (b. Mar 19, 1719)
4) Philip Daniel 8-11-1721 (b. Nov 8, 1721) Paten: Philip Daniel Saar und dessen Frau Elixabetha
The translation by Stewart Hinds also said:
That Wilhelm Heim was a brother to Ann Margaretha Heim and Hans Paul Heim Jr/.
That Ann Margaretha Heim was wife of Philip Groscost
That Wilhelm Heim unmarried and Anna Margaretha Reisinger, unmarried were baptism sponsors for Wilhelm Groscost.
It mentions also on the Ship: Charles A. Groscost, emigrating to America,
Question, is Charles Groscost the father of Philip Groscost married to Anna Margaretha Heim
4-10-2002 Stewart Hinds helped translate the ship record written in German.
He wrote that there is a book titled Pennsylvania Emigrants, Early Pioneers from Mutterstadt in the Palatinate by Annette K. Burger or Burgert? He said that the book shows that Wilhelm Heim's wife's name is Judith. He said that Wilhelm Heim had a brother Hans Paul Heim, Jr. who lived in Ireland for a time, returned to Germany, and then went to Pennsylvania. The book states that Hans Paul Heim buried several children who died in Ireland.
4-10-2002 Stewart Hinds (sthinds@netzero.net) advised as part of the Translation of the Passenger Lists by Boyer :
Wilhelm Heim is probably a brother of Hans Paul Heim Jr, who was christened by Jeremias Hess*.
Also Wilhelm Heim (Sr) son, Johannes or Hans Heim, was born in Mutterstadt on October 7, 1712, and
arrived at Philadelphia on the Ship James Goodwill on Sept 27, 1727 with other family members.
*Jeremias Hess is also shown coming over on the ship "Thistle" in 1730 the same time as that Wilhelm Heim came to PA.
