"Those who served on the volunteer department in these years included Clarence McCray, Earl and Carl Williamson, Arthur Campbell, Gilbert Burriff.... Byron W. Himes served as fire chief for 20 years, and when the department reorganized in 1932, C. K. (Clifford) Himes was designated the Township Fire Chief and Arthur Campbell served as Village Fire Chief." On page 55, there is a picture of B. W. (Byron W. ) Himes sitting with his wife in a 1912 Buick, one of the first cars to be seen in Centerville, OH. On page 68, there is a class picture of grades 7-12, 1913, and Clifford Himes is in this picture
