Wright and Hale Families of Wise and Russell Co. Virginia

The Wright family that I'm researching first appeared on the 1830 census records of Russell Co. Va. and later in the Wise Co. census records when that part of Russell became Wise Co.The earliest members of this family are John Wright, born abt.1785 in Frederick Co. Va. and Martha McLaughlin, his wife.They lived mostly in and around Virginia City, Va.

My Mother's side of the family, Hale, begins with Thomas Hale. Most of these family members settled in the Castlewood area of Russell County Va


Since Yahoo decided to close all their geocitie sites without warning and mine was among the ones they deleted 10 YEARS of info I had is gone. Thank goodness my family trees weren't on the site and were saved on Family Tree Maker. It's going to take a long time to put my photos and files back together but in time they will be back and posted again.
