| Researching the Hinson Family name. Small town in Florida panhandle called Hinson Crossroads named after great great grandparents family. Harrison and Joshua Hinson came to this place in approximately 1887. Harrison Hinson married Sara Williams and had seven children. Joshua Hinson married Sara's sister, Carry Jenise Williams and had twelve children. Over the years, these families prospered and have migrated throughout the world.Among the local stores was a grocery store owned by John T. Harrell, Willie Green Hinson, and David Sellers. May Hinson Bevis owned a "millinery" shop where ladies purchased their bonnets and hats. The Hinson Family founded the first house of worshop, Pleasant Grove Methodist Church. |
