| I am researching the Hancox family who lived in Temple Street West Bromwich from aprox 1851 to 1964. Particularly Thomas Hancox who married Maria Simcox about 1848 . Maria later moved to Commercial Road in Portsmouth Thier Daughter Jane born aprox 1848 married Stephen Robert Clegg.Thomas&Marie also had a Son Enoch who Married a Elizabeth Simcox Of Oak Road In 1871 and emigrated to Pitsburgh Pensylvania .A son Thomas Benjamin was born in 1874,they returned to W/Bromwich England. One of thier daughters Jane known as Jinny later married and emigrated to New York [believe married name to be Morris,. Elizabeth& Thomas also had a daughter Elizabeth sons Hubert & Morice. Hubert married a lady from Kent thier daughter was born in West Bromwich and named Joan.Many more facts and also photographs .Also would be interested in the names Simcox, The Hancox family could have originated from the Stafford area. |
