About Our Family Research

This is the beginning of a long search to develop my family tree. I am anxious to know when my relatives arrived in the United States and what brought them to settle in Wisconsin. I know my mother's father was a farmer in Columbus,Wis and I am wondering if it was farming that brought the Weiners to Wisconsin. My dad's father, Fred Hiney, was a capitalist from the get go. He hauled milk and did many other jobs before starting the Hiney Oil Co which was in business for 40 years during which time he owned Phillips Petroleum gas stations, delivered fuel to farmers as well as many people in and around Columbus, Wis. My father fixed many oil-burning furnaces over the years and they hauled all their own fuel by tanker from Milwaukee every day.
I am looking for information regarding both my mother's side (Weiner) and my father's side (Hiney.)
