Research came from many avenues, U.S. Census, marriage, birth, etc., records, written genealogy files from Uncle Gearld Chapman (deceased), Cousin Beecher Hinkle (deceased), and Aunt Hazel Ransberber, nee Hinkle, articles from publications, the News Leader and WV Hillbilly, Richwood, WV, owned and edited by Jim Comstock, and other information compiled and edited by Jim, the West Virginia Heritage, 25 or more volumns, and from my Brother Austin C. Hinkle who has done extensive research on the Hinkle and Chapman lineage. My wife and I have been married 52 years as of 3 December 2007, with four children, 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
