This is my personal quest to locate Geneological Information for myself and my husband's family. If you find an ancestor or relative of yours among mine, please feel free to email me. Much of this research was the result of long hours of hard work and dedication by my aunt, Carolyn McGee Gifford. I'm new to all of this and still stumbling blindly into dead-ends. But I've never been more excited than when I finally come up with a missing name or date. Most of you know how this feels and you understand why we are addicted to Geneology. Happy hunting.....

A trip to Texas proved to be fruitful in my search for the Denny Roots. I found numerous headstones in both Childress and Motley counties. I also found the original homestead property of William and Eliza Denny in Motley County, TX. The house and windmill are still standing. William was a Confederate soldier in the Civil War and I found him via Eliza's application for widow's benefits. I'm anxious to contribute this information to a broader audience. The search now leads to Fayetteville, AR. What a coincidence...all roads lead to Arkansas on BOTh sides of the family.
