The Godwin, Geiger, Townsend And Peterson families

My sister and myself had become interested in finding our family roots. My mother is the only child of her family and our grandparents did not live close by us, so we, including our brother were raised with practically no family members around and we decided to find them. All of my mother's aunt's and uncle's have passed on with the exception of one aunt to whom we have recently become aquainted by telephone. Much to our surprise she remembered us. I was probably 3-5 years old the last time she saw me and I am in my 50's now. All of our father's family lived very far from us but we do have contact with them. At any rate sis and I have become quite interested in genealogy and with the help of my dad buying me a computer before he passed away, we were on our way. So much so that she began doing the research for her husband's families. So it has been quite rewarding.
