I am researching the Hirt and Carter Families.

My husbands father was Edward Theodore Hirt, b. November 13, 1899 in Hennipen County, Minneapolis, Minnesota, d. October 14, 1961, California.

My husbands mother was Vera Carter, b. March 13, 1913, Garden Valley, Texas, d. July 1986, California, daughter of Gustavus Fuller Carter, son of Benjamin Jackson Carter and Henrietta Fuller, and Fannie Bell Moreland.

Edward's father was John Perry Hirt, born 1871 in Iowa, son of Peter Hirt and Julia Mueller. He was married to Mary Ann Rangisch, born about 1877 in Austria, any information about her parents from Austria would be wonderful. Peter Hirt came to America from Luxembourg in 1856 with his parents and 9 brothers and sisters, we have traced Luxembourg back to the 1680's.

We can trace the Carters back to John Darling Carter Sr. b. 2-18-1812 and Drucilla Driggers b. 1820 both born in South Carolina, Drucilla was the daughter of Bennett Driggers b. 1797 SC and Charity Philpot b. 1798 SC, they had another daughter Avis Driggers who married a Smart. Any information on them or their families would be great.

We can trace the Fuller's back to 1571 in England, still searching further.

We can trace the Moreland's only to Fannie Belle's parents William Moreland and Idella Aaron Moreland Yancey both born in Texas about 1855-1860.

Please write about any of the families: Hirt, Rangisch, Carter, Moreland, Driggers.

Anything I have, I will gladly share.
