According to the family sketch in Cumberland Co., Virginia Historical Society, Vol 1 page 86: Colonel Henry Hoagland Budd, an attorney and farmer, son of William Budd II, and Drusilla Hulce Budd, was born in Sharon, Pa., on Jan 30, 1811, and died in Cumberland Co., Va., Aug 30, 1870. He came to Virginia as a young man and married Hannah Virginia Watson of Prince Edward Co. They resided near Raines Tavern
