We are a small, but distinguished(!)family from Virginia which descends from Col. Joseph Bridger of England, William Hodsden of England, William Carey of Ireland, and Louis Marie Bobee, Jr. of France. Our research has been very successful on the Bridger and Hodsden side, but only fairly successful on the Carey and Bobee side. However, we continue to search for information on these surnames. Even though the concensus is that 'the English blood is the richest', the Irish and French is equally a part of our makeup.
