Biography
Jacques Leblanc was born in Port Royal. He was the eldest son of Daniel and Francoise Gaudet. He married Catherine Herbert, she was the daughter of Anthony(Antoine) Herbert and Genevieve Lefranc around 1673. They had 13 children including Francois, who was born around 1688. Francios married Marguerite Boudrot on September, 19th, 1712 at Grand-Pre. She was the daughter of Claude Boudrot and Anne-Marie Thibodeau.

At the time of the deportation in 1755, Francois and Marguerite were deported with their families to Mass., where Francois died in 1761.

Francois's son Charles ( our Grand Father who was born in Grand-Pre on May, 17th,1723 and married Marie Barrieau in 1748, she was the daughter of Nicholis Barrieau and unknown
Charles was 32 years old at the time of the deportation and he took with him, his wife Marie, two sons and one daughter. Charles and Marguerite had three more daughters born to them while thay were living in Mass, named Marguerite, Marie-Anne and Anne., Charles and Marguerite and their family traveled back to Miquelon at a later date. Joseph one of the two sons deported to Mass. ( Our grand-father) was born in Grand-Pre in 1753.

Eventually Charles and his family settled in Memramcook, N.B., where Charles died.
