After the research of Placide Selon Gaudet Jacques Larozette Leger was a soldier in
in the drum corps of the Marines in the garrison at Fort Naxouat. Having taken his leave, Jacques married around 1693 at the age of 30 years to Madeleine Trahan daughter of Guillaume Trahan and Medeleine Brun. They settled at Port Royal where their 11 children were born. The Legeres of New Brunswick descends from the two sons. The oldest of the two named after his father was born about 1695 He married the 12th of January 1717 with Anne Ameriault daughter of Francois Ameriault & Marie Pitre.

Notes for Michel Hache Gallant:
Michel and Anne were the first Acadian family to settle at lLe St-Jean now Prince Edward Island. Michel drowned at the mouth of the North River on April 10 1737, The Hache(dit Gallant) of southeast New Brunswick desend from Michel their son born about 1691

Michel Hache Gallant was a native of the doicese of Beauvais, in France, and came to settle as a colonist in Acadia and ILe St-Jean His wife Anne Cormier gave him 12 kid. After the lost of Port Royal to the English in 1710,Hache settled, in his capacity of captain,at Port-Joie near Charlottetown .PEI

In the spring of 1717, the 10th of April Michel Hache drowned when he went out on thin ice on the Riviere du nord, his body was found on July 17th
