Many years ago my Aunt Virgie sat down with her mother, Malissa Jane Crow Foster (Mama Foster-my Great Grandmother), and with an old reel to reel tape recorder she recorded Malissa's recollections of Elizabethtown, Kentucky and growing up their until the age of 10 and then moving to Arkansas and then making the run for the Land in Oklahoma.She was born in 1872 and died shortly after her 100th birthday.
