Lester Maurice owned and operated the Colorcraft store, a paint and wallpaper store (previously owned by his father) in Muncie, Delaware, Indiana from about 1940 to 1949. He moved with his wife to Huntington Cabell, West Virginia in 1949 where he worked as a sales representative for a paint manufacturer.
He returned to Muncie, Delaware, Indiana in 1950 where he worked a sales representative for a paint manufacturer.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Muncie, Delaware, Indiana. He moved with his wife to Orange, California about 1961.
He donated his body to Medical Science.
