John Bartlet taken up and refered to said committee which committee believe and say that Bro. John Bartlet is in an error for retaining an unfavourable opinion of Bro. Rose and holding a bar against him. The said Rose for refusing to pay him the full weight of hogs by a certin pair of stilyards which stilyards was said not to be good. Therefore we say he is no more of us while retaining the same against him and the said Rose. 3nd On Saturday rec'd a petition from our sister church at Puncheon camp praying us to send them part of our ministerial labour. McDowel being present the church called on him to set in the presbatry with the above named brethren who proceeded to the word and work of the ministry of the Gospel and also Brother Samuel Day to the office of deacon in the church. 3rd Red a petition from Old Town Creek Church praying us to send them our Bro. Hirum Hurst and Bro. James Jonson to attend them at their next meeting and as such we appoint them to attend accordingly, and also to send them a copy of our record respecting our takeing the office of Deaconship from William Ritter. 4th On Saturday a charge taken up by the church brought by Bro. William Janway against Sister Patsy Gibson for making a statement and then denying of it which is defered to next meeting. The church after examination find no record of the suspention of William Ritter's Deaconship which they think ought to have been made and the church now agree to enter it on record and say that the office of Deacon was taken from him and the church have no recollection of the office of Deacon ever being restored to him again. McDowell delegates to bear our letter. 5th We agree that Israel Huddleston may teach the present school in which he is engaged for a period of time not exceeding twelve months from this time excepting the church may want the use of the house for worship provided that he opens the door only for himself to teach a common English school and keeps the house in good order and the Benches clean with everything belonging to the house as it is now excepting the natural decay and wear of the house and to make good and anything that may be broken or damaged except that which arises from the natural decay or proper use of the house. He is to arrange the fire so as to preclude the possibility of the house taking fire from the wood on fire rolling to the floor and he is further against the nineteenth inst. to pay to Jesse Evans seven dollars and fifty cents and it is distinctly to be understood that the privilege of the house is only given for the time above named and on the aforementioned conditions and that whenever any of the above conditions are violated or not complied with the said Huddleston is to give up the key and house on the application of Samuel Day, Jesse Evans and William Evans or of any two of them and further said Huddleston is to leave the key of the house on every Friday evening with Simpson Hurst.
