* Kahn Gruenebaum family of Maryland*

Updated August 3, 2007

I am currently researching my paternal lineage.

My father, Fred Kahn grew up in the Wiesbaden, Germany area and survived the holocaust in hiding.

My paternal grandfather- Max Kahn 1896-1978
I have information on the Kahns from Hausen uber Aar in Germany to the early 1800's. The original jewish surname was Mathias.

My Paternal grandmother- Selma Grunebaum 1906-1988
Also I now have additional information to the early 1800's . The original surname was Lazarus.

The Hogenkamp lineage is now dating back to the early 1700's in Bocholt, Germany.

This hobby has allowed me to make many contacts via the internet. In Germany two young fellows, Chris and Jens have been instrumental in locating the jewish cemetery in the Kettenbach area. Chris was kind enough to map the site and we have contributed the data to the Jewish Cemetery Project. I appreciate all the contributions from my family and new friends!!

Any information on these families are welcomed!
Please contact me via email.
