I am researching the Hohman(n) and Power(s) Families and their ancestors. This would include: Bollinger, Buesemeier, Doyle, Eichhandler, Fitzgerald, Frankenbach, Goelz, Grieser, Heimos, Hines, Hohman(n), Kohr, Lay, Laeng(Lang, Link), Lochbrun, Power, Priester, Reininger, Redding, Rothenbuecher, Teppe, Schmelig, Schlittler, Ulrich, W(o)estman(n). The Power(s)family came from Waterford City, Ireland about 1882.
The Ulrich family from Frebershausen, (Waldeck)Germany about 1864.
The Kohr family came with the Rothenbuecher (Rothenbieger)family in 1841 to the USA from Lampertheim, (H-D) Germany.
August Teppe probably came from near Giessen, Germany about 1895 while he was in his teens. He was sent to his Uncle who was a Frankenbach.
The Grieser and Schmelig families came from Biblis, (H-D) Germany in 1853 and 1854.
The Heimos family may be from Stienweiler, Germany. The Laengs from the Alsace Region.
The Lays seem to be from the Baden region.
One of my mother's cousins places the Bu(e)semeier or Biesemeyers as being from Lothen, Minden.
Jacob Schlittler was from Switzerland and died in Chicago, IL. All the rest of the ancestors who came to the USA lived in St. Louis, MO.
