The Vernon J. Hohenfeldt Family Home Page

Updated September 5, 2000

I am a novice at this, both computer-wise and geneology-wise. I am interested in any variance of the name Hohenfeldt, and any history that is available from other sources. My research thus far has shown that there are less than 50 families with this surname, and less than 150 individuals, world wide. If you have any information, such as Americanization of the surname, that would be of interest.
Most individuals and families with the surname are located in Wisconsin and Missouri. These families are related through about five generations, that is, they all can trace their trees back about five generations to a common ancestor. That ancestor may have had siblings which we are unaware of, and there is where my interest lies. Is there a branch or other branches of this family or is this one of the smallest family units in the world?
