Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum

will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
Ohana is the Hawaiian name for family. My family roots are from Hawaii with a mixture of Hawaiian, Chinese and Portugese. I am one of several family members working on our family tree and we are now ready to automate the process. We are looking for names and people who are decendants of Ting Sing Hok (sp?) and Kahula Kaapana from the Big Island. Ting Sing worked as a cook for the Greenwell Family at their coffee farm from approximately 1860 to 1890. He then relocated to Honolulu. The family name while in Oahu changed from Ting Sing to Hoke.
