My Holmes Family

I have just started researching my different family lines. Some of the names are Holmes, Grassi, Ping, Ford, Stearns, Fiscus, Sones, Kelley, Armstrong, Farnsworth, and many more. Right now I am concentrating on Holmes, and Grassi, as I know the least about these.

The farthest I've gotten with my Holmes line is James Bradford Holmes, born in Michigan. Not sure of the exact birth date, but he was in the St. Joseph county Indiana Census in 1910 age 42 Married to Maud Armstrong. The writing on the Census is very hard to read but I think it says his parents were born in England. His son James Chestine was my Great Grandfather.

My Grandfather, Preston Holmes, son of James Chestine, married Catherine Marie Grassi. Her Mother, Beulah Ford, was born in Lake Village Arkansas. Catherine's Father was named Mario Grassi. He too, was born in Lake Village, Arkansas. I haven't gotten any farther yet. I will add more as I find it.
