Notes for Hattie A. Chase: Occupation: teacher, housewife Letter dated November 19, 1953 from Mrs. C.R. Faulkner (Hattie Chase) of 141 Lannside Ave., Collingswood, N.J. to Mrs. Paul D. Holland (Mary Chase) of Box 92, Lakeport CA.: Dear Mary, I've thought and thought of you so much and wondered if you are improving in health. Also if you received Christmas card and dollar. Also if your new daughter-in-law received five dollars I sent to her c/o her mother. I have wondered if she received it. I sent a money order and have receipt for it. If she did not receive it will you let me know as I can have the $5.00 redeemed. I did not know what to get David and she for wedding gift. Thought money was the best. It did not seem much, but we like you have had so much expense. Two doctors, vitamin & tonic $4.50, Liver and Iron. Lasts 2 weeks about. I just had another wedding invitation from a friend. Knew her mother long before she was born. She is a airline hostess located in El Paso, Texas. She is going to marry a Lt.. She is a lovely girl. There are two more sisters who live in Wildwood N.J. right in back of our house. Had a letter from Janet this week, said they were all well. She still works to help pay Merediths way in college. She also is one lovely girl. She visited us last summer, just for one day so sorry she could not stay longer. I'm a poor speller any more. How is Diana and David. I hope well, also Paul. I think of you all so much. Also how is Diana's baby. I hope well. Wish you were not so far away. Would love to see you all. I'll be so glad if I ever walk by myself. I use a small serving table, white enamel, that helps me a lot to walk. I have so much to be thankful for, though. I will close now and let me know how you are and about the money order. Lots of love to everyone. Lovingly, Aunt Hattie. PS: Please write and let me know how you are. Jerry and family are well. He has his own business now, for over a year. Russell is married and has a little girl, Barbra Jeane. Nancy is a very lovely girl. Russell is in the regular Marines stationed at Willow Grove, PA, not so far from here. He was overseas for a year in Japan. You would not know him. Will see if he has a picture he can send to you of him and Nancy. We have a TV now and get a good bit of pleasure for it. It is a beautiful sun shiney day here, but cold outside. We have had so much rain this fall and winter. But we don't complain, as the dear lord sends it all, he knows best. Please excuse this writting. Love, Aunt Hattie.
