These Holland families lived very close to one another in 1870 in Kosciusko, Attala Co. MS. William Holland and Alcey (Bramlett) Holland were found also in the 1850 & 1860 Federal census in Kosciusko, Attala Co. MS. William Holland and Alcey Bramlett were married in 1812 in Greenville Co. Holland was the son (or other close relative) of William Holland and Alcey (Bramlett) Holland, and the brother (or close relative) of W.R., J.T., & Elizabeth Holland.

Since Y.M. Hollands first two children were born in Alabama (1834, 1838), and commencing ten years later (1848) the remaining eight children were born in MS, Y.M. Holland may have had two wives, the first wife (name unknown) the mother of the two children born in Alabama, and the second wife (Martha) the mother of the eight children born in MS.
The Y.M. Holland family was not found in any Census or other basic records during the period 1831 - 1859. They were in Alabama in the mid to late 1830's because two daughters were born there (1834 & 1838). the remaining six daughters and two sons were all born in Mississippi during the period 1844 - 1856. They were not found in any census records for 1840 and 1850. They first appeared on the 1860 census for Rushings Store, Lauderdale Co. MS.
