He married (2) MARY ANN KELLY June 11, 1900 in Vanport, Beaver County, Pa., daughter of WILLIAM KELLY and ANNA MCFARLAND. She was born October 28, 1882 in Beaver, Pa., and died December 30, 1938 in New Brighton, Beaver County, Pa..

JOHN FRANKLIN BARNES, 73, husband of the late Mary Ann [Kelly] Barnes, of 1509
Second Street, Oak Hill, New Brighton, died Tuesday in Beaver Valley General.
Mr. Barnes was a veteran of the Spanish American War, and a member of the
Church of the Nazarene in New Brighton. Surviving are seven children; Jerome E. Barnes ,
Mrs. Charles Wolfe , Lawrence and Charles, all of New Brighton ; Mrs. Frank Wilson ,
Benjamin H. and Chalmers all of Beaver Falls , 23 grandchildren ; one sister
Mrs. Ann Moterman of West Bridgewater , and a brother Benjamin H. Barnes of Fallston.

BARNES FUNERAL
Funeral of JOHN FRANKLIN BARNES, will be held from the home of a son Jerome E. Barnes
1509 Second Street, Oak Hill, New Brighton, on Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock.
Then the body will be taken to the Church of the Nazarene to lay in state from 1:30 till
2:30 o'clock. Services at 2:30o'clock will be in charge of the Paster Rev. Floyd Wycoff,
Rev. C. L. Chrener former Paster and Adjutant James Hayman, of the Salvation Army.
Interment will follow in Grove Cemetery.

MRS. MARY ANN [KELLY] BARNES,56, wife of John Franklin Barnes, died at the family
home in Hamilton Plan, Oak, New Brighton, Friday after a brief illness. She is suevived
by her husband ; seven children , Jerome , Benjamin , and Robert Barnes at home ,
Mrs. Charles Wolfe of New Brighton , Mrs. Frank Wilson of Beaver Falls , Lawrence
and Chalmers of Fallston ; 21 grandchildren ; a brother , George Kelly of East Liverpool,
and three sisters , Mrs. Pearl Cambell of Industry , Mrs Edward Ammon of New Brighton ,
and Mrs. Carl Poratle of New Castle. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene
at New Brighton, Bever Falls, Pa.

BODY OF VETERAN SHIPPED FROM CHINA
Mr. and Mrs. John F. Barnes of Mercer Road have received word that the body of their son,
John F. Barnes, a member of the Fifteenth United States Infantry who was killed in
action, August 10, 1923 at Tien Sen, China, had been shipped to the United States.
The date of arrival of the body has not been made known.

Funeral services will be held in the High School auditorium upon the arrival of the body,
with the American Legion Posts of the New Brighton, Beaver Falls and Woodlawn in charge.

Obituary notice;
JOHN FRANKLIN BARNES, will be buried tomorrow afternoon from the Salvation Army
Barracks of Beaver Falls at 2:15. Any American Legion members or ex-service men
attending are requested to meet at the Legion rooms, Kramer building, New Brighton,
at 1:45 or Salvation Army Barracks at 2 o'clock. Transportation furnished.

FUNERAL- JOHN FRANKLIN BARNES
The funeral of John Franklin Barnes Jr. , the New Brighton boy who was killed in China
serving in the U. S. Army , will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:15 from the Salvation Army
Barricks Beaver Falls, Pa. The services will be in charge of Anderson - Adkins Post No. 19
American Legion , and all ex - service men are asked to attend. Assembly will be at the
Kramer Building at 2 p.m. and all men having uniforms are requested to wear same.
