at Beaver Falls unit of Medical Center of Beaver County, [Pa.

He was born Dec. 17, 1912 , in Leetonia , Ohio , a son of John Franklin and Mary Ann
[Kelly] Barnes. He was a former furnace operator at Republic Steel Corp. . Union Drawn
Division of Beaver Falls.

He was a member of the Salvation Army Church , Beaver Falls. And a Army Veteran of
World War II.

His wife Eva Mary [ Franer] Barnes preceded him in death April 16, 1968.

Surviving are four sons; Charles W. , James and Benjamin all of Beaver Falls, Pa. ; and
Ira Lawrence Barnes Jr. of New Brighton, Pa. ; a son John who preceded him in death in 1957.
One brother Chalmers of Pittsburgh ; and a sister Mrs Polly Wolfe of Oregon ; 15 grand children
and one great-grandchild.

Friends will be received agter 7 p.m. Saturday at Lutten Funeral Home, 1117 Fifth Avenue,
Beaver Falls, PA. Funeral arrangements are pending.

Tuesday in Summerville, New Jersey , following a six-month illness.

Born August 1, 1914 in Clearfield, Pa. , she was the daughter of Irvin and Naomi [Funk] Maines

She was employed as a sales clerk by Carlton's Men's Shop in Raritan for three years.

Survivors include her husband, Flori Geremia, whom she married in 1964; three sons
Chalmers Olen Barnes Jr. of Champion, Ohio ; Carl Irvin Barnes and Austin Jerome Barnes
of Warren, Ohio ; Mrs. Joyce Rebecca [Barnes] Pander of Volant, Pa. , Nancy Naomi
[Barnes] McFall of Warren, Ohio and Eva Mae [Barnes] Dabrowski of Sommerville, New
Jersey. Two stepsons ; Robert Geremia of Uniontown, Pa. , Anthony Geremia and a
stepdaughter Mrs. Anthony Impellizeri both of Sommerville, New Jersey.
Two brothers Harry Maines oF New Castle, Pa. ; Gilbert Maines of Niagara Falls, N. Y.
three sisters ; Mrs. Olive Green and Mrs. Elizabeth Wilson both of New Castle, Pa. and
Mrs. Margaret John of Kittanning, PA. ; 20 grandchildren.

Services will be held here [Warren , Ohio] Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Carl W. Hall
Funeral Home. Burial will be in Champion Cemetery, Champion , Ohio.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
