Surnames we are interested in are: Hollibaugh (Various spellings), Holland, Hollenbach (any spelling) Denslow, Savage, Coyle, Ewing, Kilgore, Crawford and the list goes on so please take a look at our index of surnames. Please follow the links below to see if we are related. George A. Holland m. Mahala J. Kilgore abt. 1888. Mahala was a daughter of Mary Jane Crawford and Thomas R. Kilgore. Mary Jane was born abt. 1840 to John Ira Crawford and Mahala Purtlebaugh. Mary Jane was born in Frederick Co., VA. George and Mahala Kilgore Holland were the parents of Vianna May Holland. Vianna was born in Ohio and was my husband's grandmother she married Johnathan Beryl Hollibaugh Sr. and had several children. As to date we have been in touch with members of Melva Hollibaugh Uber's family. Melva was a sister to Johnathan Burl Hollibaugh Jr. There are still some siblings of Jr. and Melva still with us so if you are related to one of the siblings please contact me so that we may be able to add you to our tree. Andrew James Hollenbaugh Sr. m. Eleanor Coyle daughter of Isabella Ewing and Manasseh Coyle. He was born in 1781 in Mercer Co., PA. His parents were Niclaus and Anna Elisabeth Romer, daughter of Mathias and Dorothea ? Romer. He was also a brother of George Hollabaugh born about 1778 in Mercer Co. George settled in Armstrong Co., PA he married Barbara Conklin, a son of theirs, Jonathan Hollabaugh is buried in Mt. Ayr, ID. Another son John married Lydia Rupright their son John Franklin Hollibaugh is pictured below. George and Barbara's daughter, Barbara married her first cousin, Andrew Jackson Hollibaugh Sr. Our Hollenbachs arrived in Phila. PA Sept. 24, 1753 aboard the Ship Neptune. Andrew Jackson Hollibaugh Sr. and Barbara Hollabaugh had several children one of which is Jonathan Hollibaugh, he married Margaret Jones and produced the following children: Harrison (Harry) H. Hollibaugh, Tacy, Nancy (she married Carl Beck of Mich.), and Emma. We have recently been in touch with decendants of Tacy Hollibaugh would love to hear from more of this Jonathan's children. Harry married Lydia Denslow daughter of Edwin Beryl Denslow Sr. and Judith Savage of MI. They had 3 children in Brinton, MI, Johnathan Sr, Carl and Grace Bell. Grace married John C. Antonion of Ohio. Not sure of the spelling of Antonion. I have been told that he was Greek and Grace died in Cleveland, OH. They had one adopted child. Carl H. married Blanche Winer and moved to CA. We did find a John Hollabaugh in Isabella Co. MI at the same time as Harry H. Hollibaugh was in Isabella Co., MI. It is well known in the family he went by John. He is listed in the Veteran's Census of 1895 as having served in the Civil Was on the Union side in the 155th of PA. Have not found a roster to confirm this as of yet. Story has it that John went to MI in the summer of 1882 to purchase seed and stock for the farm in Mercer Co., PA., fell in love with the area and came back to sell everything and move to MI. Recently we have been in touch with decendants of Clarissa Hollibaugh who was the baby sister of Jonathan Hollibaugh son of Andrew Jackson Hollibaugh Sr. Have also been in touch with Alexander Hollibaugh's family, Alexander was a brother to Jonathan Hollibaugh (this one was the son of Andrew Jackson Hollibaugh Sr.). It seems we may have been one of the earliest families in America to own an ice cream factory and even better own a jelly factory 10 years EARLIER than Smuckers! According to the Lawrence Co, PA Genealogy Society, Nicholas Hollibaugh, son of George and Barbara Conklin Hollibaugh's grandson was the first to own such.
