Notes for William C. Blair: He was raised by Isaac and Rachel Reeder (relationship uncertain). Rachel left him her entire estate when she died in 1846 stating that she had raised him from the age of two years old and "he has been like a son to me". Was wounded at the Battle of Nashville. Remained in hospital for f ourteen days before his death on 28 Dec 1864. This was some sort of mo bile hospital unit that kept moving with the troops because the daily r oster had reports of him and other wounded each day.
