1. HEZEKIAH2 CRANFILL (UNKNOWN1)1,2,3,4,5 was born Bet. 1712 - 1756 in England, and died 1795 in Rowan N.C.. He married ANN NEEDLES6 Bet. 1738 - 1793, daughter of WILLIAM NEEDLES and HANNAH HARGROVE. She was born Abt. 1744 in Kent co. Delaware, and died Bet. 1786 - 1843 in Rowan Co. N.C..

EZEKIAH CRANFILL:
Hezakiah came to America abt.1740 Along with 2 Brothers Moses and Isaiah He was in Delaware by 1757 since he was in the French and Indian War The book Colinal Delaware Soldiers and Sailors 1638-1776 by Henry C. Peden Jr. States Hezakiah enlisted on April 25 1757 in Capt. John Canton's Company in Kent Co. De.
Hezakiah and brother Moses were on Murderkill Hundred tax rolls for 1761and continue on tax rolls through 1777 when written by Hezakiah's name was the word "gone"( Moses was still on 1778 roll )There was a Isaiah Cranfield in Fairfield SC on 1850 census I have found Moses in Kent Deleware and determined that was Moses son.

A list of North Carolina Militamen paroled by Charles Lord Cornwallis, The British Commander has recently been discovered in the Cornwallis papers.Although originally undated a notation in pencil of the date "1781 " was added to the document at some time later period. In light of the known military activities of Cornwallis in North Carolina during the Revelonationary War ,Wall and the large number of prisoners released ( 536 names ) it is believed that these militeamen were captured in the events surrounding the " Battle of Guilford Courthouse " in North Carolina on March 15 1781. This list shows Hezakiah Cranfield from Rowan Co North Carolina being paroled by Cornwallis. : This is found in British Public records office, film copy in British Records Collection, found in North Carolina Archives
. Hezakiah had gone to N.C about 1776-77. ( according to Dr. J.B. Cranfill )Some of the children were born in Surry co. NC so we know he was there
He was given 200 acres tract # 2339, July 7 1794 on Dutchmans Creek next to Thomas Cain and John Beeman's land book # 14 page 558 or 658 along with several real estate transfers .They paid in Pounds and Shillings instead of dollars.I have found a Moses in Kent Co. Delaware in 1800.
.Hezakiah died Oct 9 1795 his will was probated 1797 Page 222 dated Oct. 9 1795; (, This is the way the actual copy of will reads) In the name of God Amen ;Hezeciah Cranfield of Rowan County being verry sick and weake in body yet of a sound and perfect understanding and memory do consititute this my last will and testiment . First I recommend my soulk to God who gave it, next my body to the dust from whence it was taken to be buried in a deasent manner at the discresion of my Executore first I give and bequeath to my daughter Hanah one cow and calf and one loom.Next I give and bequeath to my son Thomas one bay mare Which I now owne Next the remainder of my stock to be sold at puble sale and divided equally among all my childfen ,next I sign away all my rights and titles to all my land to be divided amungst all my sons as they may think best. I thus apoint and consistitute William Cranfill, Abraham Hall Executore to this my last will and testiment. Hezeciah X Cranfield . Witnessed by George Baity and Thomas Cain.
