This web site is under preliminary construction. Archived photos and notes will be added as time permits and updates will be made as new information is discovered. Additional resources, photos and links of interest are posted at: http://family.bobhollis.com/. My primary research is currently focused on the Harvey line down from Job Harvey who was born in 1785 in Fayette, CO, PA and died in 1851 in Glasgow, PA.Job built the first home in Glasgow, PA in the late 1830's. Job and his sons and grandsons (Job Jr, Job III, Amos D. Harvey, William Harrison Harvey, Benjamin Harvey and William Hamilton Harvey) were pioneers in the paper industry. They owned and operated paper mills on Redstone Creek in Brownsville, (Fayette Co.) PA, on Little Beaver Creek in Glasgow, (Beaver Co) PA, and St Clair (Columbiana Co) Ohio, on Neshannock Creek in New Castle, (Lawrence Co) PA, in Coshocton, OH and on the Ohio River in Wellsburg, (Brooke Co) VA/WV from the 1820's to around 1900. I am seeking additional information on Job Harvey, and am especially interested in discovering the names and residential locations of his spouse (possibly Florence Harrison), parents and siblings. All family members and friends are encouraged to send photos and additional information to [email protected].
