Phillips Family Tree includes surnames such as Phillips, Michener, Ostrander, Gausmann, Yelton, Hood, Shryock, Custer (Kuster, Custers). The Michener ancesters can be traced back to England in the 1600's, and they married into the Custer family which is traced back to Germany (Prussia) in the 1500's. It appears that both families immigrated to America in the late 1600's to early 1700's. The Phillips family may have roots in Wales. Ostrander's have Dutch roots in New York state. Hollstein Family Tree traces back to Germany (late 1800's) and Italy (early 1900's). The surnames include Hollstein, Ariosto, Stevens, Lang, Casales. I am interested in finding more information about an Atlas Phillips, born 1849 in Indiana, and his wife, Sarah Yelton who was born in Kentucky.
