Have copies of Pension index for Confederate States. Wounded in the left hand at the Battle of Jenkin's Ferry Arkansas on April 30, 1864. Lost most of the useage of his hand. Pension filed Sept 28, 1899. Abner completed most of the application in his own handwriting. Listed unit as Co B 19th Texas Infantry, Walker's Division Department of Mississippi. In response to the question "Have you received pension before", Abner wrote "Yes, I applied for and received a land certificate for 1280 acres which I sold for $70.00." Stated he owned 60 acres of land worth $120, 1 mule, and one wagon (both old) worth $20.00. Stated he was a Texas Resident since 1850.
