Benjamin was a midshipman in the Virginia Navy and received 2,666 acres of land. Served aboard the ship "Tartar". Benjamin, of Orange County the eleventh son of George Taylor.Midshipman on vessels commanded by his brother Richard Taylor Tartar, Oct 10, 1777 LBP, John Flynt. Never married.
Benjamin was Midshipman under the command of his brother, Commodore Richard Taylor.He received 2,666 acres of land for his service.172
